My wife and I sold our home, bought our first 5th wheel and a new truck to pull it. We began our new lifes journey looking for an RV park to live until I retire in a year and move to AZ.
We Googled and found several RV parks between Mount Vernon and Renton; however, when we called and visited each facility, Cedar Grove Shores stood out as the best choice.
If I were the managers here, I would enforce the rules exactly like the current management team. There are rude people from all around the world, but what I've discovered in my 60 years, is there's a lot more good people than bad.
Called last minite and got a spot. Clean, level, paved with water/elec. No cable and wifi was poor. They do let you wash your car on site.
We feel fortunate to be living in Cedar Grove Shores where the management
I stayed short term and was pretty pleased with my stay. The staff seemed a little inexperienced, at first they didn't have my booking until the manager came out and set it straight.
team is firm, fair and consistent. When kindness is met with disrespct and rudeness you'll find yourself packing your bags. This is good for the residents whom deserve a quiet and safe place to vacation.
Daneeta and Randy are both very nice, and go out of their way to accomdate their residents. The community is gated, quiet, as everyone looks out for each other. I've left my RV storage compartments open over night, with nothing being stolen.
If you want to have a lot of parties, get loud, be rude, obnoxious and violate the rules I wouldn't suggest Cedar Grove Shores is NOT FOR YOU; however, if you want to relax, enjoy the beautiful lake, and all that Lake Goodwin has to offer, then Cedar Grove Shores is for you.
My father was a park ranger in Illinois; therefore, I grew up living inside the parks he was a ranger. I've witnessed and seen a lot of good and bad guest come and visit the parks over the years.
I am very new to this way of life--and a little nervous. The management has been so helpful and kind through this whole process. It seems to be a community-everyone watches out for each other. Its a gated community which helps me feel a bit safer--I will be here long term and so blessed I found my home.
There are many forms of disrespect: Drunks, Loud music, Barking dogs, Dogs not on leash, Don't pick up trash and dog poop, Loud people, Drug use (bizarre behavior), and the list goes on and on.
The park itself is nice. The management is another story. We made a reservation 6 months in advance for full hook up. When we got there, the manager Danita told us that we didn't have a full hook up space. She was rude and very mean. She said to us that it is what it is, I'm the manager and what I say goes! OMG! It was summertime so finding another place for 2 months was impossible. I was in tears. We have a 45ft fifth wheel which to move it to the RV dump every few days is a huge job. So we had to purchase this portable dump tank for $200.00. This was not only not in our budget, we had to wheel it over to the dump every 3 days because it fills quickly, we had to take showers in their facilty and they charged us!!! They didn't even charge us what was quoted to us 6 months prior for a full hook up, they charged us more! It was a very bad situation. Every person in there had something to say about how she was. Any new people coming in got treated badly too. There were days she would be fighting and yelling at someone asking her simple questions. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
